(Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images)Georgia football has a superstar running back with Heisman aspirations in D’Andre Swift. The No. 2 guy, Zamir White, has some serious potential as well.White, a member of the 2018 recruiting class, was a five-star recruit and the No. 9 player in the country. He was the top-ranked running back in his class.Unfortunately, he had to deal with a significant injury which cost him his first season in Athens. During a scrimmage a year ago, White tore his ACL.That injury came just a year after he tore the ACL in his other knee as a high school star. White’s recovery has gone well, and at SEC Media Days, Kirby Smart said he was excited to see what the former blue-chip recruit can do. As Georgia nears the season, White has been a full participant in practice. It doesn’t look like he skipped many lower body workouts while he was working his way back from the injury. One Georgia fan took a screenshot of White from a practice, and his legs look like the tree trunks you can find on Penn State-turned-New York Giants standout Saquon Barkley.Zeus invented leg day.👁👁 I can’t wait to see him truck everyone in his way. @zeus1_34 #ATD #GATA #KeepChoppin #GoDawgs #LegDay pic.twitter.com/UL7hYObSYO— Rob (@BulldawgRob) August 21, 2019You can definitely see Zamir White running through some arm tackles after that picture.Last season, Swift ran for 1,049 yards, while former Dawg Elijah Holyfield tacked on 1,018 himself. While Georgia will probably look for Jake Fromm to add a bit more through the air, there should be plenty of carries for White, sophomore James Cook, and whomever else can prove to be productive in the tough SEC.
