Dundee United captain backs ‘character’ Kuate to shine

first_imgDundee United captain Sean Dillon believes the confidence gained by players like Wato Kuate can boost the club’s bid for an immediate return to the Premiership. The former Manchester City youth scored his first goal for the Terrors during the quarter-final win over Morton and heading into the clash with Falkirk, Dillon is backing the midfielder to continue to shine.Simon Murray and Blair Spittal also found the net in the 5-1 aggregate win and Dillon feels United have brushed off being beaten to second spot in the table by the Bairns. He said: “It’s a big bonus Blair getting a couple having been out for two weeks. Great for Simon as well getting on the scoresheet a couple of times and Wato getting a goal as well, which will do his confidence the world of good.” Speaking about Kuate’s contribution, he added: “Do you know what, he is pretty quiet in the dressing room. “I have seen a couple of his interviews, especially after the game the other day. He is a bit of a character. Probably best left at that.”last_img
