first_imgLAKE HUGHES – A 77-year-old Lancaster woman died and two other people were injured in a head-on collision Tuesday night on Three Points Road. The woman’s name was not immediately released, but coroner’s officials later confirmed her identity. According to California Highway Patrol Officer John Lutz, the woman was a passenger in a Toyota pickup driven by Merlin Pinnell, 53, of Lancaster. Pinnell was southbound on Three Points Road near Pine Canyon Road when a Ford Mustang driven by 17-year-old Lancaster resident David Arteaga traveling north crossed the center divider and hit the truck head-on. 160Want local news?Sign up for the Localist and stay informed Something went wrong.
